Office of the Ombuds
The CUSM Office of the Ombuds provides confidential, neutral, and informal assistance to resolve conflicts and address organizational concerns. Debra Marquez serves as the CUSM Ombudsperson and brings 20+ years of experience in conflict resolution to assist CUSM Community members in navigating organizational issues.
The Ombuds services are available to all CUSM students, parents, staff, faculty, administrators, and visitors. Types of issues that may be brought to the Ombuds:
- Work relationships or interpersonal relations, e.g., supervisor-employee, faculty-student, student-student, etc.
- Allegation of ethical or misconduct issues
- Fear of coming forward or of taking acting to stop unacceptable behavior
- Fear of retaliation or allegation of retaliation
- Abuse of power, bullying, unfair treatment
- Policy Issues
- Safety Issues
- Working Conditions
