Doctor of Medicine (MD)

The CUSM MD program is core to the university's mission to advance the art and science of medicine through innovative medical education, research, and compassionate healthcare delivery in an inclusive environment that advocates critical thinking, creativity, integrity, and professionalism.

First accepting medical students in 2018, CUSM has graduated four classes of physicians. CUSM MD graduates have achieved residency placements in competitive programs across numerous disciplines with an average NRMP match rate of 99.25%.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is our primary teaching hospital and partner in educating the next generation of physicians. ARMC has over 4,000 employees, 400 physicians, and over 200 resident physicians dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare. ARMC is a Level 1 trauma center. The ARMC Emergency Department is the second busiest in the state of California. The hospital operates ten different residency training programs. Located just accross the street from the university, CUSM third- and fourth-year students conduct clerkships and rotations at ARMC. ARMC physicians are faculty members at CUSM.
